Dates

Context

Grain silo operations relied on expensive, inflexible software and manual processes tied to physical equipment (truck scale, moisture tester).

Solution

Built a fully custom Excel/VBA system integrated with WinWedge to control ticketing workflows end-to-end (weighing, testing, ticket creation, reporting). Included Outlook-based automated PDF email delivery, dynamic customer lookup, load splitting, and a flexible reporting engine with filter-driven outputs.

Renewable Energy Alaska Project (REAP)

Dates

May – November 2025

Context

Renewable Energy Alaska Project needed an adaptable economic model to evaluate the long-term costs and impacts of renewable energy projects and policy scenarios.

Solution

Developed and rebuilt Excel-based economic models supporting analysis of an 80% renewable energy target, including 20+ years of monthly projections, 23 renewable projects, and stochastic fuel-price scenarios. Used VBA to automate modeling workflows and created decision-support outputs and visualizations for policy analysis and stakeholder discussions.

Client needed to manage event data across multiple categorized views while allowing edits from any location without breaking consistency.

Solution

Developed VBA macros to enable bi-directional synchronization between a master sheet and multiple category tabs, including controlled record creation and formatting preservation.

iCook After School — Airtable Operations System

Dates

September 2022 – March 2024

Context

Rapidly growing after-school programming required a centralized system to coordinate employees, students, classes, school partnerships, scheduling, payroll, and other operational data that had previously been spread across disconnected processes.

Solution

Designed and built a relational Airtable system from the ground up, ultimately managing approximately 50,000 records across applicant and employee tracking, student enrollment, instructor management, class scheduling, payroll, and school partnerships. Built automations, dashboards, reporting tools, data-quality controls, and a workforce-mapping system incorporating school locations, instructor availability, transportation, and geographic data. Managed data migration and user testing and trained employees to use the system as part of their day-to-day workflows.

Context

Consignment and repair orders followed complex, non-standard workflows that did not fit cleanly within Shopify’s native structure.

Solution

Built a custom Airtable system integrated with Shopify (via SyncBase) to track orders through multi-branch workflows, automate status changes, and manage customer communication tied to each stage of the process.

Integrated OpenWeatherMap API and Minnesota DOT alerts, and added Apps Script automations for syncing and notifications.

Context

Library of the Great Lakes needed the digital infrastructure to make its collections, programs, participating libraries, and Great Lakes resources accessible to the public while supporting the organization’s broader outreach and communications.

Solution

Designed and implemented much of the organization’s public-facing website, including customized WordPress templates and interactive resources. Developed an Airtable-based digital library and integrated it into the website for public browsing, while also managing ongoing digital communications and social media content.

iCook After School — Program Operations & Management

Dates

September 2022 – March 2024

Context

Managing after-school programming across a large network of schools required coordination across curriculum, instruction, staffing, employee training, scheduling, school relationships, and internal operations.

Solution

Managed and supported programming across dozens of partner schools, including hiring, onboarding, training, and coordinating 50+ contracted teachers. Developed curriculum and lesson plans, taught K–12 programming, managed class scheduling and student registration, and supported payroll, invoicing, and relationships with partner schools. Also spearheaded development of an employee web portal using HTML and Wix dynamic-page infrastructure to give instructors centralized access to the information and resources needed for their work.
